Sharp Calibration
After many years of research, study and experimentation, the new LX has developed the sharpest calibration with its 1020 dynamic levels for each note played, and a keyboard samples rate of 800 samples per second. The blend of high-resolution control of the note solenoids, and the high standards of the mechanism, provide an unsurpassed level of articulation and finesse.

Pedalling
The new LX has 256 pedal positions, 100 pedal samples per second, and high-bandwidth closed-loop control, which means the dampers are raised to their full height and their movement is tightly controlled at every instant in time, resulting in the finest and most graceful pedal effects.
The LX uses full proportional pedalling, drawing away from the crude traditional 'on-off' pedalling. This enables the LX to create pedal shading giving a rounded musical performance.

Exclusive hi def. LX recordings
Incredible as it sounds, the LX system is real music to your ears. The fusion of proportional pedalling and high-resolution of the solenoids control creates the best sound of music and the best performance, not matched by any other.

The Best Sound Of Music
The LX has been designed to play the grandest choice of CDs ever produced for self playing pianos - all but encrypted CDs, which would be illegal.

Retroffitable to all Pianos
The LX system can be fitted to all pianos. Its hidden playing mechanism ensures that the note solenoids, and their associated electronics, are unexposed. Instead, they dwell within a cut-out in the key bed. Only the note solenoid mounting rail is apparent underneath the key bed.

Traditional Trapwork
For the first time in the history of the self playing piano, traditional trapwork is used thanks to the hidden mechanism. Self playing pianos coupled with the LX system, display the same 'look and feel' underneath as traditional grand pianos, allowing the use of the lever arrangement, which has been universal in piano assembly for over 100 years.
With such a sturdy trapwork, problems such as loss of the sostenuto pedal function disappear. Equally, there is less need for frequent service to allow the sustaining pedal adjusted.

Playing Interface
Unlike other systems, the LX is designed to be driven by any digital audio source: CD/DVD player, PC or MP3 player. This isolates the LX from a 'front end' that may become obsolete or unserviceable after just a few years.
